Winston Ellis

Following a recent visit to Freddies Reading, actor Winston Ellis has decided to become a patron. A self confessed 'bad boy come good' is now better known for his roles in The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean. With a career spanning more than 20 years, Winston has worked with stars including Jean-Claude Van Damme, Johnny Depp and Jackie Chan and is now focusing on projects closer to his home town of Reading.

Winston has always had a passion for giving something back to the community and he also works with 'Positive Strides', a non-for-profit organisation, helping deliver arts programmes within secondary schools and community venues often in deprived areas. Despite, his busy schedule, Winston has found time and sees Freddies as a worthwhile project to invest his time in. For these reasons Winston and Freddies are well matched and Freddies is delighted to welcome such a prestigious star to its ever growing list of patrons. Upcoming events and activites annouced throughout the year will be wholeheartedly supported and where possible attended by Winston.
